Shoney (Seonaidh) Wind Limited is a UK-based consultancy providing offshore and onshore wind, and wave and tidal technical and advisory services to both public and private sector clients in the UK, European Union and around the world. Shoney Wind was established in 2011.
Nathalie Stevenson, the Director of the Company has worked in the offshore wind industry since its outset in the UK, from 2002 and is considered to be a ‘veteran of the wind industry’. She has 24 years’ post-MSc experience, including consultancy and client developer experience in offshore wind and wave and tidal projects, as well as long sea outfalls, ports and harbour developments. She has particular expertise in fisheries liaison for offshore wind projects having been the designated ‘Company Fisheries Liaison Officer’ for Inch Cape, Blyth Offshore Demonstrator, and Teesside offshore windfarms. Nathalie has undertaken circa 35+ offshore wind permitting and consents lender and vendor due diligence for clients including DNV-GL, Everoze Partners, Green Investment Group, HSBC and The Crown Estate.
Prior to her career in wind, Nathalie worked primarily on habitat restoration, marine protected area management, wetland restoration and fisheries conservation projects, including working for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Cornell University on ‘mark-recapture’ of Sturgeon in the Hudson River, and for Wetlands International and the Centre for Tropical Coastal Management.
Nathalie is available for short term contracts such as offshore wind due diligence contracts, or longer placements to cover resource shortfalls. In addition, Shoney Wind operates a flexible associates model which means that Shoney Wind can supply other freelance professionals with whom Nathalie has worked with previously and can personally recommend.
