Nathalie Stevenson the Director of Shoney Wind canoed 100 miles of the River Wye in aid of Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust. Acorns provides end of life care for young children.
Nathalie said ‘Around 30 people took part on various days, but only 4 people completed the full 100 miles from Glasbury to Chepstow. Myself and my son were two of the four who made it! It was hard work paddling for between 7- 10 hours for each of the 5 days, but worth it as Shoney Wind staff and family raised £1424.73 for Acorns, and the total raised by all those taking part exceeded £9000’. Shoney Wind covered Nathalie’s travel and accommodation expenses to attend the event and allowed Nathalie to take the time off.
